We are looking for someone to join Team Yuma as a Senior Asset Management Analyst, working with the Public Works department. The ideal candidate would perform technical duties developing and maintaining asset data and managing programs.
Under general supervision, this job classification is responsible for the implementation and management of the Public Works Department's Asset Management Program. Conducts independent research studies and makes recommendations regarding administrative and infrastructure projects and challenges related to Department-wide or individual division needs.
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND two (2) years of asset management or related database management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of: City policies and procedures. Asset management principles and practices, Geographic Information System (GIS), and standard software. Business application software such as MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) Advanced computerized systems utilized in the Public Works department.
Skill in: Interpreting and applying technical standards and procedures, Federal and State rules and regulations, and City policies and procedures. Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers. Operating a personal computer utilizing standard and specialized software. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Reading, understanding, and manipulating geographic information in a variety of data formats.
License and certification requirements: A valid Arizona State Driver's license is required. Additional training and/or certifications may be required.
Physical demands and working environment: Work is performed primarily in an office setting. On occasion, the employee will be in the field with moderate physical requirements; may be exposed to safety hazards including extreme weather conditions i.e. excessive heat and cold, dangerous chemicals, biological hazards, confined spaces, and dangerous tools and equipment.
