Job Details

Under close supervision, commutes between Library facilities to perform work of routine difficulty in maintaining grounds, cleaning, custodial, and delivery duties. This position has department specific responsibility. Nature of Work (Illustrative Only) Responsible for cutting/edging grass, trimming trees and shrubs, and maintaining grounds; cleans and maintains exterior landscaping, sidewalks and parking areas of Library facilities; installs, maintains and repairs sprinklers and irrigation systems including pipes, valves and sprinkler heads to allow for proper watering of grounds and landscape plants; installs, maintains and repairs irrigation controls, timers, pump controls, flood-irrigation valves; operates powered equipment such as mowers, leaf blowers, sod cutters, chain-saws, and brush trimmers; applies pesticides for weed control and pest control (State-issued applicator license required); identifies and reports repair needs to Supervisor; makes minor repairs when appropria...Maintenance Worker, Part Time, Grounds, Worker, Maintenance, Property Management
