SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Temporary District Receptionist/HR Tech will contribute to effective school-public relations with prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries and visitors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEssential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Employees are required to be in attendance and prepared to begin work at their assigned work location on the specified days and hours. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments, and directs or escorts them to the proper person.
  2. Answers screens incoming telephone calls and responds appropriately to requests for information.
  3. Maintains an attractive and comfortable reception area, which includes a reading table stocked with current school district publications and periodicals of general interest.
  4. Reports immediately the presence in the building of any visitor who bypasses the reception desk or any suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of visitors.
  5. Types, prepares and distributes a variety of confidential Personnel correspondence, reports, letters, records, and memos from rough draft or corrected copy.
  6. Orders supplies and materials as needed.
  7. Update and distribute school directory as needed.
  8. Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  2. Bilingual language skills (i.e., Spanish) preferred
  3. Ability to work harmoniously with staff and with the general public required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with public and staff.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Temporary position anticipated six to eight weeks. Salary and benefits as established by the Board.

Position dates: 07/01/25-08/15/25

Hours: 9 am - 1 pm M-F
