POSITION SUMMARY

Join a dynamic team delivering impactful energy performance savings projects for federal clients. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting large-scale energy construction initiatives, helping to drive sustainability and efficiency across government facilities. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers to coordinate all aspects of project execution—including engineering, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. We're seeking a candidate with a solid HVAC background who's passionate about energy efficiency and eager to contribute to meaningful, mission-driven work. This is a remote-based role; however, it requires travel within the U.S. based on project demands and must be supported by the individual in the position.

What you'll do:

KEY DELIVERABLE

Maximize project team's effectiveness and efficiency by utilizing own organizational skills to provide basic project

support to senior project management staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generally, supports a larger construction project; serves as a project resource on smaller projects or supports

multiple projects.

• Keeps management and stakeholders informed on all issues affecting project timeline and budget.

• Assists with project scheduling, billing and change order paperwork management.

• Provides interpretation of plans and specifications for the construction project team.

• In conjunction with the PM and the Construction Engineer estimates the impact of project changes.

• Assembles submittal packages and other required project documentation.

• Assists with procurement of equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other project related services.

• Analyzes and resolves basic construction related questions and issues.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Ability to read design and construction plans, project submittals, control diagrams, etc.

• Intermediate ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports.

• Good project financial acumen.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel and Microsoft Projects

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years' experience in related field.

  • Experience working with a mechanical contractor and supporting project work or as a design engineer who wants to get into operations.

  • You should have experience and knowledge of HVAC systems and design.

  • Design-Build experience is highly valued; experience with controls, water conservation, lighting systems, or photovoltaic (PV) technologies is a strong plus.

  • Experience supporting federal projects is also a valuable asset.
