Position Details
Virginia Commonwealth University School of theArts (VCUarts) Department of Theatre is establishing a pool of applicants forpossible adjunct teaching positions. This pool of applicants could be drawnupon to provide temporary staffing when needed; to provide special teachingexpertise when needed; and/or to meet special programmatic needs not otherwiseprovided for within the program.

Given these criteria, this pool will only beassessed when an adjunct opportunity arises. Possible adjunct opportunitiescould include teaching a course(s) in any of the areas of study offered by theDepartment of Theatre. Adjunct faculty are expected to be thoughtfuland proactive members of the VCUarts community and have a desire to work with adiverse student population in a collaborative, inclusive and learning-centeredcollective.

RequiredQualifications
- Appropriate teaching experience and/orstrong oral presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in andfostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to doso as a faculty member at VCU.
- Terminal degree (MFA) in a related field.

PreferredQualifications
- Demonstrated skills and experience in one ormore areas of expertise in performance, or technical theatre and design.
