Learn more about Splunk careers and how you can become part of our journey!Role As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer in the Artificial Intelligence group, you will develop core AI/ML capabilities to enhance the entire Splunk product portfolio and support our customers' digital resiliency journey. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior members, and influence the engineering roadmap.Responsibilities Develop AI/ML platform and infrastructure to support key ML use cases in cybersecurity and observability domains.Work closely with software engineers, applied scientists, and product managers to integrate generative AI solutions into products and services.Stay updated with the latest AI/ML advancements and incorporate these into our technology roadmap.Participate in cross-functional discussions and strategic planning for AI directions and product development.Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience.Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Experience deploying and serving models in production environments.Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless architectures.Experience with MLOps platforms like MLflow or Kubeflow.Previous experience working in cross-functional teams with data scientists and DevOps teams.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Splunk, a Cisco company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The pay range varies based on location, experience, and skills. The role is also eligible for incentive compensation, and potentially equity or long-term awards.
