***POSITION CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD***
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Quality Control Inspector inspects, repairs and modifications of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines.
LIST OF DUTIES:
• Inspects and evaluates maintenance of aircraft components
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Applies technical knowledge expertise to troubleshoot and restoring equipment condition and operation.
• Provides guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies.
• Contributes input to development and implementation of quality control and ground safety programs and ensures compliance with contract requirements.
• Must be able to work without supervision, lead small groups independently, and provide written and oral briefings and updates to program leadership.
• Performs other qualified duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Demonstrated proven and verifiable aviation experience including ethics, ability and professionalism of the highest standards are required for this position.
• Five years verifiable Turbine Powered Rotary Wing (RW) experience
• Two years verifiable experience as an inspector performing Technical Inspector Duties.
• Recent verifiable UH-60 Quality Control experience
• Must possess a FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• A U.S. Government SECRET Security Clearance is required. Must maintain a Secret Clearance for the duration of employment.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Must currently have or be capable of completing a criminal background check to access military installations and to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
• Must have a valid driver's license / vehicle insurance to drive on base.
• A broad level of knowledge of aircraft maintenance, inspection techniques, FAA regulations, and technical publications.
• Ability to multi-task and employ problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take the initiative in problem-solving and achieve organizational goals with minimal oversight.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products
• Basic computer data entry skills required for use of maintenance and logistics databases.
• A valid FAA A&P Certificate is desired
• A valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred
• Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications.
